How to Find Your Bookmarks on X (Twitter)
You bookmarked a post on X, formerly Twitter, and now you want it back. Bookmarks are easy to add and easy to lose track of, because they do not show up in your timeline or on your profile.
This guide shows where to find your bookmarks on desktop and mobile, how to remove them, and what to do when you need more than the built-in list. Menu layouts change, so look for the Bookmarks label rather than a fixed position.
Where X keeps your bookmarks
X has a dedicated Bookmarks page for posts you have bookmarked. X Help says saved posts are available from the Bookmarks tab or from your profile menu, depending on the app.
How to find bookmarks on desktop
- Open x.com and sign in.
- In the left sidebar, click Bookmarks. If you do not see it, open More to expand the menu.
- Your bookmarked posts are listed on the page.
You can also go straight to x.com/i/bookmarks while signed in.
How to find bookmarks on the mobile app
- Open the X app.
- Open your profile menu (tap your profile picture), or look for Bookmarks in the navigation.
- Tap Bookmarks.
How to search your bookmarks
The Bookmarks page may offer a search box at the top. If you see one, type a word from the post or the author's name. If your version does not show a search box, you will have to scroll. We could not confirm the current search behavior from X Help, so we do not describe it further.
Bookmark folders
Some accounts may offer folders for organizing bookmarks. Availability can depend on your account and plan, and we could not confirm the details from X Help. Check the Bookmarks page in your own app to see whether folders are offered to you.
How to remove a bookmark
Open the bookmarked post and tap the bookmark icon again. X Help describes this as the way to remove a bookmark. The post disappears from your Bookmarks page. The original post is not deleted.
Exporting bookmarks
We could not confirm from X Help whether X offers a built-in export for bookmarks. For a copy of your account information, check the data archive option in your X account settings and see what it includes.
Keeping X bookmarks with your other saves
If you save posts on more than one platform, X is just one list. AgentMash (https://agentmash.ai) syncs saves from several platforms into one searchable library, and AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can search it over MCP. The Free plan includes one platform and up to 300 saves; Pro unlocks more. See AI agent bookmarks and the MCP setup guide, or read how to find saved posts on LinkedIn and Instagram. More guides are on the AgentMash blog.
Frequently asked questions
Can people see that I bookmarked their post?
Check X's help pages for the current privacy details. We could not confirm them when we wrote this guide, so we do not make a claim here.
Why did my bookmarks disappear?
A bookmarked post may no longer appear if the author deleted it or changed who can see it. Also check that you are signed in to the same account you used to bookmark.
Do I need a paid plan for bookmark folders?
We could not confirm this from X Help. Open the Bookmarks page in your own app to see whether folders are available to your account.
How do I search old bookmarks?
Look for a search box on the Bookmarks page. If your app does not offer one, scroll through the list, or keep your saves in a library that supports search.
How AgentMash works
- Add the Chrome extension. It reads your saves with your own logged-in session.
- Pick your platforms and click Sync. Sync is manual, and nothing runs in the background.
- Search or ask your AI agent. Your saves land in one library that agents can search over MCP.
The Free plan includes up to 300 saves, and Pro unlocks more.
