How to Find Saved Videos on YouTube (Watch Later and Playlists)

YouTube does not have one button called "saved videos". What you saved is spread across a few places: the Watch Later list, playlists you made, and playlists you saved from other people. This guide shows where each one lives on desktop and mobile.

What "saved" means on YouTube

  • Watch Later is a built-in playlist for videos you want to come back to.
  • Your playlists are lists you create and name yourself.
  • Saved playlists are playlists made by other people that you added to your own library.

All of these are reached from the same place, the You area of YouTube.

How to find saved videos on desktop

According to YouTube Help, the steps on a computer are:

  1. Open YouTube and sign in.
  2. In the guide (the left sidebar), click You.
  3. Your Watch Later videos and your playlists are listed there.

How to find saved videos on mobile

On the YouTube app for Android and iPhone:

  1. Open the YouTube app.
  2. Tap the You tab.
  3. Open Watch later or pick a playlist under Playlists.

YouTube Help also notes that you can tap your profile picture and find your playlists in the Playlists section. On the mobile website, the tab may be labeled Library.

How to find saved videos on a TV

TV apps change more often than desktop and mobile, and YouTube's help pages for the TV app were not available to us when we wrote this. Look for You or Library in the TV app's menu, then open Watch later or a playlist. Because it is the same Google account, anything you saved on your phone or computer should show up there. YouTube TV is a separate product with its own library, so what you see there may differ.

How to save a video to Watch Later or a playlist

On a computer, YouTube Help describes three ways to add to Watch Later:

  • While watching a video, open More, choose Save, then pick Watch later or another playlist.
  • On a Short, open More, choose Save to playlist, then pick Watch later.
  • While browsing, hover over a thumbnail and click Watch later.

In the mobile app, open the video, tap More, then Save. YouTube saves it to the last playlist you used or to Watch Later, and a Change option in the confirmation message lets you pick another one. Videos marked as made for kids cannot be added to playlists or Watch Later.

To remove a video from Watch Later on a computer, open You, find the video in the Watch Later section, open its More menu and choose Remove from Watch later. In the app, the steps are similar.

Can you export Watch Later?

Google offers a way to download a copy of data from your account. Whether Watch Later is included can vary, so check Google's own help page for the current details before relying on it.

Keeping YouTube saves with your other saves

If you save across several platforms, YouTube is only one list among many. AgentMash (https://agentmash.ai) syncs saves from multiple platforms into one searchable library, and AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can search it over MCP. The Free plan includes one platform and up to 300 saves; Pro unlocks more. See AI agent bookmarks and the MCP setup guide, or read how to find saved posts on LinkedIn. More guides are on the AgentMash blog.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I find my Watch Later list?

Open the You area (the You tab in the app, or You in the guide on desktop) and look for Watch Later near your playlists. Make sure you are signed in to the same Google account you used to save the videos.

Are saved videos private?

A private playlist can only be viewed by you. You can also change your privacy settings so your playlists are hidden from other viewers.

What is the difference between Watch Later and a playlist?

Watch Later is a built-in list for videos you plan to watch. A playlist is a list you create, name and can set to public or private. You can also save playlists that other people made.

Can I see saved videos on another device?

Yes. Saved videos belong to your Google account, so signing in to YouTube on another device shows the same lists.

How AgentMash works

  1. Add the Chrome extension. It reads your saves with your own logged-in session.
  2. Pick your platforms and click Sync. Sync is manual, and nothing runs in the background.
  3. Search or ask your AI agent. Your saves land in one library that agents can search over MCP.

The Free plan includes up to 300 saves, and Pro unlocks more.
