Where the config file lives

      How it works

      1. Choose your client. Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf or Codex. Each one has its own file format, and the generator writes the right one.
      2. Add your API key. Create it on the Agents & API page in AgentMash, then paste it above. Or skip this and replace am_live_YOUR_KEY yourself.
      3. Copy and paste. Put the config in the file shown for your operating system, or run the command, then restart your client.

      The server is https://agentmash.ai/mcp (Streamable HTTP) and your key goes in an Authorization: Bearer header. There is no OAuth sign-in. Your agent gets six read-only tools to search your saves, and it never posts for you. Need more detail? Read the MCP setup guide.

      What is a Claude MCP config?

      It is the small settings entry that tells an MCP client, such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code, where an MCP server lives and how to sign in to it. For AgentMash it holds the server URL https://agentmash.ai/mcp and your API key.

      Is my API key safe in this generator?

      The generator runs entirely in your browser. Your key is never sent to AgentMash or anywhere else, and nothing is stored. It only appears in the config text on this page, which you copy yourself.

      Which clients does this MCP config generator cover?

      Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Codex. Any other client that supports Streamable HTTP MCP servers can use the same URL and Authorization header.

      How do I get an API key?

      Sign in to AgentMash, open the Agents & API page and click Create API key. Copy it right away, because it is shown only once and starts with am_live_. You can leave the field empty here and paste your key into the config later.

      Why does Claude Desktop use mcp-remote?

      Claude Desktop's config file starts local programs, so a remote server is reached through the mcp-remote bridge, which runs with npx. You need Node.js installed for that.

      Is it free to use AgentMash over MCP?

      Yes, MCP works on the Free plan, which includes up to 300 saves. Pro unlocks more. See pricing on the homepage.

      Can my agent change or post my saves?

      No. All AgentMash MCP tools are read-only and AgentMash never posts for you. You can revoke a key anytime on the Agents & API page.
